Items We Need

Thank you for considering Althea Projects for your donated items.

Each of our programs assist different people within our community. Below is a guideline of what each program is able to use. It is best to contact that program and organise when to drop off your donation.

If you are unable to drop your donation off directly to the program, you are welcome to call our corporate office on (07) 4779 3332 to discuss an alternative.

We appreciate your generosity in donating items for us to provide to people in need. We would be grateful if items could be:

  • Washed and clean before donating
  • In good condition so that we can pass them on to people in our local community
  • Perishable food items are in date

Donation Locations and Guidelines

Wee Care

  • Children’s clothing, toys and games
  • Baby items
  • Linen
  • Cookware, plates, cups and cutlery
  • Hygiene items (new)
  • Craft and stationery
  • Non-perishable food items

Althea’s Community Hub

  • Men and women’s clothing and shoes
  • Men and women’s handbags and back packs
  • Non-perishable food
  • Perishable food
  • Hygiene items (new)

Althea Foster and Kinship Program

New items such as:
  • Board games and puzzles (new)
  • Children’s clothing (new)
  • Children’s sporting equipment (new)
  • Children’s books (new)
  • Baby items (new)

Unable to Take

Please note that there are some items that we are unable to take due to Workplace Health & Safety regulations, other Australian regulations, or an inability for us to store larger items. These include:

  • electrical items (unless brand new)
  • baby car seats
  • pillows
  • indoor and outdoor furniture
  • rugs and paintings
